One of my earliest scripts that I wrote for a screenplay competition. For the life of me, I can't remember the name of the competition, but this one won a few laurels. Enjoy!

Reservations

A night time security guard is confronted by his past while he patrols a hotel.

FADE IN

INT. HOTEL ­ SECURITY OFFICE

A man sits at a desk in front of a wall of CCTV’s He is bent over a log book writing down the day’s notes when a radio breaks the silence with static.

RADIO

Hey, Jack! Ohhhhh, Jack! Come back now!

JACK picks the radio up and rubs his other hand over the bridge of his nose.

JACK

Yeah, yeah I’m here. What the

hell do you guys need now?

RADIO

We’ve been getting several noise

Complaints about Suit 613.

JACK

I‘ve almost been here

for 12 hours. I’m about to get off.

Can’t you get Sam or Bruce to go

check it out? What about that new

guy?

RADIO

His name is Dean, you hired him. But,

No can do, Hondo. Bossman has

all of them wrangled up for extra

security for some Big Whig taking

up the top floor. So saddle up, partner.

JACK

*Sighs* Yippee Ki­ Yay, mother

fucker. I’m too old for this

shit.

RADIO

I love it when you talk all macho!

Mhmmmmm. Let me know what ya find

out,

JACK

Yeah yeah, but you owe me, you

lazy prick!

JACK clips the radio to his belt and stands up pushing the chair under the table and walks through the office door and into the hallway. The camera slowly zooms in on one of the CCTV screens. The one showing the hallway Suite 613 is on. It zooms until it fills the entire screen.
